Big Team Win

Milton and Groton have had a long history of good, competitive matches and today's was no exception. We knew that Milton's top two would be difficult to beat but all the Groton players competed with excellent poise and determination to bring the other matches our way. Groton got early momentum from first-round wins by Samuel Lu and William Laws. After Yanbo Pei controlled his match from beginning to end, the team still needed one more win. As it turned out, we got two. Hansen Zheng kept a determined opponent at bay for three close games and Jamie Abramson added decisiveness to the team score with a terrific, hard-earned win over a sharp player. After today's strong full-team effort, we will take a well-earned break for the school's long weekend before our last match of the regular season next Wednesday.
