The GVH team picked up an important win on Friday night against a tough Rivers team. After two scoreless periods, Grace Crowley '22 picked up the first goal of the game (assists from Tina Scalese '26 and Kiely Murphy '25) on the power play. Rivers evened things up shortly afterwards with a screened shot past Veronika Hadamovsky '24.
The gamed headed to OT with Groton taking advantage of a bench minor penalty. Keira Ley '24 blasted a shot from the point that snuck through a screened goalie to find the back of the net! Scalese and Maddie Cronan '25 picked up the helpers in the goal. Hadamovsky played extremely well - kicking out 28 saves in the win.
Groton gets back to work tomorrow afternoon as they host Pomfret School at 4:30pm in the OB.
