Groton Wins The Season Opener

Groton School earned their first league win of the 2024-25 season with a solid 3-1 victory over North Yarmouth Academy. IV former goalie Alex Wang delivered a stellar performance, stopping 24 of 25 shots to backstop the team to victory.

Nolan Wilson opened the scoring in the first period, burying a goal off assists from KJ Ni and Jason Mah. After a tied second period, Nate Moons took charge in the third, scoring twice to seal the win. His first goal came with help from Connor Wig and Elliot Wood, and he followed it up minutes later with a setup from Zach Baker and Owen Cronan.

The win marked a strong start to Groton's season. They take on Deerfield at home on Saturday.
