Buses to Boston!

In three hours, we had tried everything and yet done absolutely nothing. But that's what made Surprise Holiday so great.
Students poured out of Chapel on October 6 to find four senior prefects in full-body green morph suits, running right back at them. Green could only mean one thing: Surprise Holiday.

More importantly, October 6 marked the long awaited return of buses to Boston.

Along with eight friends, I caught the 11:00 a.m. bus to Quincy Market in Boston, with three hours ahead of us and absolutely no plans. The highlight of our trip was definitely getting Thai food in the Blackstone block of the historic district—which, as Charlie kindly informed me, was from Thailand and not Taiwan.

After a full plate of pad thai, we roamed the streets of Boston with only our impulsiveness to guide us: we asked a stranger for recommendations, explored the shops of Boston Public Market, packed eight people onto one swing, tried gelato and cannolis from Little Italy, ran through the water sprinklers of North End Park, and sunbathed on the grass.

By the time three hours was over, we had tried everything and yet done absolutely nothing. But that's what made Surprise Holiday so great.
