my 18th birthday arrived, and it was truly one to remember! Celebrating at school felt just like being at home, thanks to the warmth of the Groton community. My friends, the field hockey team, and Ms. Donovan, my dorm head, all made the day incredibly special. During field hockey practice, my teammates surprised me by singing and arranging the balls into the shape of an 18—it was such a fun moment! Throughout the day, I felt the love from the entire school, with everyone wishing me a happy birthday. To top it off, my parents took me out for a wonderful dinner at Gibbet Hill, where we shared AMAZING food and laughter. I even got my favorite steak! It was a birthday I’ll never forget!
