Day 9-10: Salzburg, Home of Mozart and the von Trapp Family Singers

We watched as the hills became mountains and the urban Ljubljana disappeared into green.

Our time in Slovenia had sadly come to a close as were once again on the road. We had a tour guide on the bus so as we made our trip we had some wonderful narration!

A little over four hours later we arrived in Salzburg where we our tour guide gave a guided tour in which we saw many Sound of Music landmarks and Mozart’s house.

While we were running a little behind, we made it to dinner on time to experience a musical show with dinner! Along with Sound of Music classics, we listened to traditional Austrian operetta. We even sang along. After a long day, we finally headed to bed and prepared for the music filled day to come.

The next day was full of adventure! We had a lot of time to explore Salzburg. Between medieval castles, sitting in cafes and shopping, it was an incredible time. As a group, we also enjoyed a beautiful lunch together and toured Mozart's Geburtshaus (birth house) and residence. Of course, we also made time to embarrass ourselves by singing Sound of Music classics.
