Fabulous Season Finale

All 7 Varsity racers had PRs and the team came in 8th overall in the NEPSTA Division II Championship race at Tabor. Derek Chang broke a three way tie (Groton, Thayer, and Westminster all scored 192 points) by finishing two seconds ahead of Westminster's number six runner. Westby Caspersen ran his first Varsity race of the season, and Jack Fanikos, Matthew Higgins-Iati, and Joshua Guo also ran the best races of their lives. Paul Michaud, who finished 10th, and Will Norton, who finished 7th, will represent Groton at the New England All Star race at St. Mark's on Saturday afternoon, November 19. Thank you to the Vrattos family for hosting all of our New England Championship runners for dinner and dessert at their house in Marion. What a spirited and wonderful season!
