COVID Vaccines for Groton's Health Providers
Groton School's primary health providers have completed their COVID-19 vaccinations.
Health Center Director Maureen O'Neil-Britt and school physician Sophie Allende-Richter are both affiliated with Children's Hospital Boston, and both were vaccinated there. Ms. O'Neil-Britt received her first vaccine on December 30 and her second dose on January 27.
Dr. Allende-Richter was vaccinated shortly after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the vaccine's use. She got her first vaccine on December 18 and her second on January 8. Neither health professional had any adverse reaction.

In Massachusetts, frontline health workers are first priority for vaccination. K-12 educators are in Phase 2, a phase that the state currently estimates will happen in February or March.
