Work to Do

D Prockop
With the Groton line-up depleted by some injuries, the team score went as expected against an improved Exeter squad. Even though Groton did not come away with any matches, the play was competitive, solidifying our hopes for the season ahead. A number of Groton players made significant progress during their matches, which was a logical extension of the very productive way they have been practicing.

Today's highlight came late in the match. With all the other players already off court, both teams enjoyed cheering on their top players in a high quality, 53-minute, back-and-forth contest. Captain Carter Lightburn eventually lost the fifth game but his inspiring effort and strong performance left the Groton players invigorated.

We have much work to do but also much to look forward to with this dedicated group of Groton players!
