First game of the new year!

The first snowy day (though only about two to three inches)! Winchendon came to Groton for our first game in the new year. They had twelve skaters; we had twenty-two. All of ours played. As a team we were outmatched by a couple of very skilled skaters and stick handlers. Nevertheless we put the first tallies on the board, and Lena Aloise had many impressive saves in the net. Sofia Hubball scored the first, and second, goals of her career, to the great delight and celebration of her teammates. Our stalwart returners anchor this squad; their enthusiasm is contagious, their care and support as they encourage their newer teammates, as well was their old buddies, make this a fun group for all of us.
