St. Mark's season ender

Though this turned out to be a disappointing season ender, it does not diminish the tremendous growth of this group and the fun we have had through the winter. The stakes are not high with JVGH, but to watch these people run through skating drills, “dive three times” between one red line and the other, sidestep across the blue lines, skate wheel barrows, scrimmage, and play in games with enthusiasm even when we are over-powered provides enormous fun and satisfaction. This group understands that fun and some effort for themselves and their teammates are the priority, and we have seen that from day one. We say good-bye to Clarke Trevino, a four-year skater, and Sagata Das, a three-year player, and thank them for their good humor, their effort, their example. We will miss them another season.
