We started off the day by working with our families. Each of our families are dedicated to different professions around town. Some of us helped sell things in their stores, while others helped collect crops in the fields, and others helped out with tasks within the home. Then, we ate lunch with our host families and had a bit of free time before meeting up at Tumy House to go over to the primary school.
At the primary school, we held different workshops, including ceramics, sports, and origami. The Viacava's offered a Marinera dancing workshop. It was a fulfilling experience to be able to get to know the local students and give back to a town that has shown us so much hospitality.
After the workshops, we had our second ceramics class with Eduardo. We carefully polished the cups and other structures we made last time before they are fired in the kiln. We're hopeful that they all survive the firing process. We'll pick up the finished products on Saturday before we leave for Cusco.
After our ceramics class, we all headed to group a meeting at Tumy House, where we talked about our highs and lows of the day, as well as the plan for the following day. We ended the day by having dinner at our families houses and spending time with them.
