As the school year comes barreling towards us, I’m finally home with all my family to spend a few days catching my breath and cherishing the last days of summer.
Through the combination of endless hours driving to sporting events, my sister's summer performing job, and trips off to see family, I’ve had little time to embrace the quieter moments of summer where my family all comes back to live under one roof.
The time to pick raspberries from our garden, time to noodle on the guitar, and time to walk down our dirt road with an ever growing number of potholes. The under-appreciated moments of summer gain their recognition only as it comes to an end and my drive back to the circle approaches on the horizon.
