Most surprising when you first arrived at Groton: When I first arrived at Groton, the fun of living in a dorm surprised me. During preseason, I lived in Martinez’s dorm with the soccer team. Nights in the dorm were filled with feeds, movies, and other joyous activities in which I got to know my fellow teammates. Once I moved into Mr. Riley’s Third Form dorm a week later, the fun continued. After check-in every night, everyone enjoyed playing soccer in the halls, spending time with the dorm affiliate on duty, or eating the oreos that Ms. Leggat brought when she was in the dorm.

Favorite class: My favorite class at Groton has been my fourth form AP Chemistry class with Mr. Lamarre-Vincent (also known as "LV"). Not only did the variety of topics prepare me well for the AP exam in May, but it also cultivated my curiosity for the mechanics behind every lab and experiment. LV consistently encouraged us to dive deeper into the material, always providing time to discuss topics outside of class and finding unique and helpful ways to describe each process, law, and equation. I could always count on challenge and entertainment from his classroom.

Most memorable Groton moment: My most memorable moment at Groton was when nine of my friends and I created our own shirts to spell out "ROLL ZEEBS!" for an incredible hockey game against St. Marks. After spending hours in the Arts Center painting with the helpful Ms. Donovan, we slipped on our zebra-striped masterpieces and slathered on face paint to support the boys hockey team. After a riveting three periods, we finally emerged from the rink hoarse and victorious, still smiling from the excitement of an incredible victory.
